When people think about the County Attorney's Office, they believe our office is solely made up of prosecutors and only prosecute crimes. While prosecution is a big part of what we do, it's only one of the many responsibilities our office and our employees oversee.
When you do see one of our prosecutors in court, it's because of the support, planning, and dedication of many other employees working behind the scenes, making sure they are prepared to represent the people of Maricopa County.
The County Attorney's Office has a workforce made up of more than 1,000 employees spanning over 11 divisions and many different bureaus. In addition to prosecution, our employees keep track of crime trends, develop and manage diversion programs, support victims of crime, assist with uncontested adoptions, help maintain our building, and so much more. It's hard to imagine the immense amount of work that the criminal justice system requires of this office on a day-to-day basis, and all of this wouldn't be made possible without the dedication of every employee in our office.
Our employees also foster a good working environment and support each other in and out of the office, often finding life-long friends in their coworkers. It also comes as no surprise that MCAO employees are involved in their communities and many times take initiatives themselves to help support those in need.
Our office will continue to highlight the exceptional work of our employees and their commitment to improving the criminal justice system, supporting victims' rights, holding offenders accountable, and keeping families safe.
