County Attorney will retry Michael Jakscht

PHOENIX, AZ (August 25, 2011) - Last week a Maricopa County Superior Court declared a mistrial in the case of State v. Michael Jakscht after a jury was unable to reach a verdict.

This week, Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery met with prosecutors to review the case and has decided to retry defendant Michael Jakscht.

The State is informing the Court of the decision to seek a retrial this morning during a hearing on release conditions for the defendant.

The date and time of the new trial has not yet been set.

The court case number is CR 2010-118085.
