This weekend, we celebrate Mother’s Day. It’s a special day that has been put aside to honor those who have cared for us, nurtured us, and continue to support us. While it’s an annual tradition, this year holds extra meaning.
Though the past few months have been especially challenging for many of us, we want to place a special focus on those who, at this time, have been asked to take on many roles and tasks that they didn’t expect, but do so with dedication and grace.
Our office employs roughly 600 women, many of whom are moms, grandmothers, and caregivers. While we’ve asked them to work from home, they may have school-age children to care for and educate as well. Every day, they are keeping our office going while doing their best to fill the educational, emotional, and physical needs of their children while staying healthy and safe in a new normal; essentially juggling two full-time jobs at once. To those moms whose jobs required them to continue to come into the office, we are grateful for your sacrifice during uncertainty.
We thank and honor our MCAO moms and all the great moms throughout the County.
Have a happy and beautiful Mother’s Day weekend!
