Phoenix, Arizona – On Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted, pursuant to A.R.S. 11 – 664(B), to have the Maricopa County Attorney conduct an investigation as it relates to the duties of Maricopa County Assessor Paul Petersen. Due to the extensive nature of this investigation, and to ensure judicious use of resources, County Attorney Adel engaged the following outside counsel to conduct the investigation with the assistance of a Maricopa County Attorney’s Office investigator.

The firm of Mitchell, Stein, Carey, Chapman will conduct the investigation and provide a report to the County Attorney.

Cosmich, Simmons & Brown, PLLC will conduct a document review.

Grant Woods will provide oversight to the overall investigation and provide regular updates to County Attorney Adel.
