(Phoenix) – Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced today that a grand jury has indicted James C. Estep (DOB 12/90) on thirty felony counts that include the crimes of sexual assault, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and theft. The attacks on six victims occurred in Mesa and Tempe between September 2018 and August of this year.
Estep was arrested last week in Tempe. He remains in custody on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
County Attorney Mitchell said, “From the beginning, this case has been an extremely high priority for me. I look forward to holding this defendant accountable based on evidence gathered in the ongoing investigations conducted by Mesa and Tempe Police Departments.”
