Court Unified Truancy Suppression (CUTS)

Description: A diversion program for juveniles who have been referred to the Juvenile Probation Department for truancy and are not on probation. More than 70 elementary, middle and high schools in Maricopa County have a CUTS program. The specifics of the program vary from school to school, but the general intent of the programs are to bring the truant juvenile, his/her parents, the probation department and the school together in a cooperative effort to solve the truancy problem.

Description: Services families having parent child relation problems; giving families the tools to solve a problem without having to involve the juvenile court or place the child in detention. Family Crisis Intervention Specialists are probation officers skilled in immediate intervention of family issues. They will refer families to community-based services, court contracted services, family resolution conference and family reunification specialists.

Description: The focus of the programs is placed on positive, healthy choices, including education on alcohol and tobacco abuse, sexual disease prevention and pregnancy prevention. They also provide referrals to other social service agencies and work closely with Valley schools on the importance of education and going to school.

Description: A not for profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for youth and families by providing therapeutic behavioral health and education programs. Their therapeutic programs and services are designed to assist youth, aged 11 to 17, in overcoming significant behavioral mental health issues , including substance abuse and addiction, depression, oppositional and defiant behavior, learning disabilities and other behavioral health issues.
